Spiral Of Inquiry 2018

Whakatauki
E noho e, kia raungāwari.  Sit down and bide your time.
Kia ora and welcome to 2018.  In 2017 teachers within the
Mawhera Kāhui Ako participated in Teaching As Inquiry.
That was a great introduction for many of you to the world of inquiry.
As you may know current best practice for inquiry is
“Spirals of Inquiry”.
There will be a lot of conversations around this during Term One.
You may wish to review your own knowledge prior to those
conversations.
Inquiry is an intrinsic part of teaching as indicated in the previous
and new Teacher Standards:
Teachers Standards #2 Professional Learning Using inquiry, collaborative
problem-solving and professional capability to impact on the learning and achievement
of all learners. Inquire into and reflect on the effectiveness of practice in an ongoing
way using evidence from a range of sources.
The following link will take you to current information regarding SOI.
